Al-Kitab 2.0: Undertaken in 2026, this complete update of the original Al-Kitab Bible/Quran translation has many new features. These include improved formatting, new explanatory footnotes and highlighting of quotations between different sections of Al-Kitab. It contains the full English text of the Taurat, Zabur, Injil and Quran together, and is intended primarily for the Muslim reader using names and terms familiar to those acquainted with Islamic vocabulary. One important new feature is an intentional focus on the revealed personal name of God, YAHWEH. Although it is important to learn the commonalities between the four heavenly books, it is equally as important to understand the differences in order to learn new truth. Another new focus is on the meaning of names of the various prophets and holy people whose stories are described in the pages of Al-Kitab.

Al-Kitab 1.0: First published in 2001, the original Al-Kitab Bible/Quran translation was intended for the Muslim reader using names and terms familiar to those acquainted with Islamic vocabulary. It contains the full English text of the Taurat, Zabur, Injil and Quran together. The source text was in “draft” condition but despite deficiencies, it became a reasonably useful introduction to the meanings of the Bible and Quran for English-speaking Muslims. The translator/editor worked tirelessly to frame vocabulary and language to show commonalities between the four heavenly books, and yet let the message speak for itself. The ‘ancient’ hypertext frame structure is archaic and will be cumbersome to view on today’s smartphones, but it remains available for those who are interested.
