78 Injil Quotations of ‘YAHWEH’ Verses from the Taurat

For this is he who was spoken of by Shaya the prophet, saying,

“The voice of one calling out in the wilderness, Make ready the way of the LORD, Make straight his paths.” 

But ‘ISA answered, “It is written…

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of GOD.”

Quoting the Taurat, Deuteronomy 8:3, “He humbled you, and allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you did not know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone, but by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of YAHWEH does man live.”

‘ISA said to him, “Again, it is written,

‘You shall not test the LORD your God.’”

Then ‘ISA said to him, “Get behind me, Shaitan! For it is written,

‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and you shall worship him alone.’” 

The multitudes who went before him, and who followed kept shouting,

“Praise God for the SON OF DAWUD! Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD!  Praise God in the highest!”

‘ISA said to them, “Did you never read in Al-Kitab,

‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. This is the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes’?”

‘ISA said to him, 

“‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 

Quoting the Zabur 110:1, which says, “YAHWEH said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.‘”

For I tell you, you will not see me from now on, until you say,

‘Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD!’”

Then that which was spoken through Armiya the prophet was fulfilled, saying,

“They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of Bani-Israel priced, ¹⁰and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the LORD commanded me.“

Zakariyya 11:12-13 also adds to Matthew’s composite quotation with brevity and clarity, as follows: “I said to them, ‘If you think it best, give me my wages; and if not, keep them.’ So they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver. YAHWEH said to me, ‘Throw it to the potter,’—the handsome price that I was valued at by them!‘ I took the thirty pieces of silver, and threw them to the potter, in the house of YAHWEH.”

 ³The voice of one calling out in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the LORD! Make straight his paths!’” 

Those who went in front, and those who followed, cried out, 

“Praise God!  Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD!

Haven’t you even read this in Al-Kitab:

‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. This is the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes’?”

Quoting the Zabur 118:22-23 which says: The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. This is YAHWEH’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.

‘ISA answered, “The greatest is, 

‘Hear, Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one: you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 

For Dawud himself said by the Holy Spirit,

‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, Until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”‘ 

As it is written in the book of the words of Shaya the prophet,

“The voice of one calling out in the wilderness, 
‘Make ready the way of the LORD. 
Make straight his paths. 
⁵Every valley will be filled. 
Every mountain and hill will be brought low. 
The crooked will be straightened, 
And the rough places made smooth. 
⁶All flesh will see GOD’s salvation.’” 

Quoting the Taurat, Shaya 40:3-5 which says: The voice of one calling out in the wilderness, “Make ready the way of YAHWEH; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley will be filled. Every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked will be straightened, and the rough places made smooth: and the glory of YAHWEH will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of YAHWEH has spoken it.”

‘ISA answered him, saying, “It is written, 

‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of GOD.’ “

Quoting the Taurat, Deuteronomy 6:13 which says: You shall fear YAHWEH your God; and you shall worship him, and shall swear by his Name. 

‘ISA answering, said to him, “It has been said, 

‘You shall not test the LORD your God.’ “

Quoting the Taurat, Shaya 61:1-2 which says: The Spirit of the Lord YAHWEH is on me; because YAHWEH has anointed me to preach the Injil to the humble; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of YAHWEH’s favour, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 

He answered,

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself.” 

Behold, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me, until you say, 

‘Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD!’”

saying,

“Blessed is the King who comes in the Name of the LORD! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!”

Dawud himself says in the Book of the Zabur,

‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’

He said, “I am… 

…’the voice of one calling out in the wilderness, make straight the way of the LORD,’ 

as Shaya the prophet said.”

It is written in the Prophets,

‘They will all be taught by GOD.’

“Therefore everyone who hears from the Father, and has learned, comes to me.

they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, and cried out, 

“Praise God!  Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD, the King of Israel!”

that the word of Shaya the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke,

“Lord, who has believed our message? To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”

But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel:

¹⁷‘In the last days, says God, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams. ¹⁸Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. ¹⁹I will show wonders in the sky above, And signs on the earth beneath; Blood, and fire, and billows of smoke. ²⁰The sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the great and glorious day of the LORD comes. ²¹And everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved.’

For Dawud says concerning him,

‘I saw the LORD always before my face. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. ²⁶Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. Moreover my body also will dwell in hope; ²⁷For you will not leave my soul in the grave, You will not allow your Holy One to see decay. ²⁸You have made known to me the path of life. You will fill me with joy in your presence.’

For Dawud didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself,

‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, ³⁵Until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.’” 

For Musa indeed said to the fathers, 

‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a PROPHET like me from among your brothers. You must listen to him in all things whatever he tells you. ²³It will be, that whoever will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’

Summarizing the Taurat, Deuteronomy 18:15, 18-19 which says: “YAHWEH your God will raise up for you a PROPHET like me from among your brothers. You must listen to him… aI will raise them up a PROPHET from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. It will be, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my Name, I will require it of him.”

who by the mouth of your servant, Dawud, said,

‘Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing? ²⁶The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his MASIH.’

This is that Musa, who said to Bani-Israel,

‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a PROPHET like me from among your brothers.’

Quoting the Taurat, Shaya 66:1-2 which says: Thus says YAHWEH, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what kind of house will you build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being,” says YAHWEH? “But to this man will I look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my Word.”

Quoting the Taurat, Amos 9:11-12 which says: “In that day I will rebuild the fallen tent of Dawud. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my Name,” says YAHWEH who does this. 

For what does Al-Kitab say?

Ibrahim “believed GOD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Quotation from the Taurat, Genesis 15:6 which says: He believed YAHWEH, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

Quotation from the Zabur 32:1-2 which says: Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whom YAHWEH will by no means charge with sin, in whose spirit there is no deceit.

As Shaya has said before,

“Unless the LORD All-Powerful had left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.”

For,

“Everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved.” 

Quoting the Taurat, Joel 2:32 which says: “And everyone who calls on the Name of YAHWEH will be saved; For in Al-Quds and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape,” As YAHWEH has said, “And among the remnant, those whom YAHWEH calls.”

See the Taurat, 1 Kings 19:10 (and 14) which says: He [Ilyas] said, I have been very jealous for YAHWEH God All-Powerful; for Bani-Israel have forsaken your covenant, broken down your altars, and killed your prophets: and I am left alone; and they seek my life, to take it away.

Just as it is written,

“GOD gave them a spirit of stupor,”  “Eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this day.”

Quoting the Taurat, Shaya 29:10 which says: “For YAHWEH poured out on you a spirit of stupor, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and your heads, the seers, has he covered.”

Quoting the Taurat, Deuteronomy 29:4 which says: “but YAHWEH has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.”

For,

“Who has known the mind of the LORD, or who has been his counsellor?” 

For it is written,

“‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to GOD.’”

Quoting the Taurat, Shaya 45:23-24 which says: “By myself have I sworn, the Word is gone forth from my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear. ‘Only in YAHWEH,’ it is said of me, ‘is righteousness and strength.’ Even to him shall men come; and all those who were incensed against him shall be disappointed.”

Again,

“Praise the LORD, all you nations! Praise him, all you peoples!” 

For,

“who has known the mind of the LORD, or who has taught him?“ 

But we have the mind of AL-MASIH.

And again,

“The LORD knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is futile.”  

for

“the earth is the LORD’s, and its fullness.” 

But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For

“the earth is the LORD’s, and its fullness.” 

Therefore,

“‘Come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord, ‘Touch no unclean thing.  I will receive you.

Quoting the Taurat, Armiya 9:24. The full context is given by Armiya 9:23-24 which says: Thus says YAHWEH, “Do not let the wise man boast about his wisdom, neither let the mighty man boast about his might, do not let the rich man boast about his riches; but let him who boasts, boast in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am YAHWEH who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight,” says YAHWEH. 

Even as Ibrahim…

“believed GOD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 

However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal,

“The LORD knows those who are his,”

And,

Quoting from the Taurat, Numbers 16:4-5 which says: When Musa heard it, he fell on his face: and he spoke to Qarun and to all his company, saying, “In the morning YAHWEH will show who are his, and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to him: even him whom he shall choose will he cause to come near to him.”

“Let everyone who names the Name of the LORD depart from unrighteousness.”

And again,

“I will put my trust in him.”

And again,

“Behold, here I am and the children whom GOD has given me.”

(for they indeed were made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by God who said to him,

“The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever in the order of Malki-Siddiq.‘” 

But finding fault with them, he said,

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah; ⁹not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they did not continue in my covenant, and I turned away from them,” says the LORD. ¹⁰“This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says the LORD; “I will put my Taurat in their minds, I will also write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. ¹¹They will no more teach every man his neighbour, or every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. ¹²For I will forgive their wickedness, and will remember their sins no more.”

Quoting the Taurat, Armiya 31:31-34 which says: “Behold, the days are coming,” says YAHWEH, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; which covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them,“ says YAHWEH. “This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,“says YAHWEH: “I will put my Taurat in their minds, I will also write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people: They will no more teach every man his neighbour, or every man his brother, saying, ‘Know YAHWEH;’ for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” says YAHWEH: “for I will forgive their wickedness, and will remember their sins no more.”

Quoting the Taurat, Armiya 31:33 which says: “This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says YAHWEH: “I will put my Taurat in their minds, I will also write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

For we know him who said,

“Vengeance is mine,” says the Lord, “I will repay.”

Again,

“The LORD will judge his people.” 

and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children,

“My son, do not take lightly the LORD’s discipline, And do not lose heart when he rebukes you; ⁶For whom the LORD loves, he disciplines, And punishes everyone he accepts as a son.” 

So that with good courage we say,

“The LORD is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” 

and Al-Kitab was fulfilled where it says, Ibrahim…

…”believed GOD, and it was credited to him as righteousness;”

and he was called the friend of God.

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says,

“GOD opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

if indeed

“you have tasted that the LORD is gracious.”  

For,

“Whoever loves life, and desires to see good days, must keep his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking lies. ¹¹Let him turn away from evil, and do good. Let him seek peace, and pursue it. ¹²The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous. His ears listen to their prayer. The LORD’s face is against those who do evil.”

Quoting the Zabur 34:12-16 which says: “Whoever loves life, and desires to see good days, keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies. Turn away from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of YAHWEH are on the righteous. His ears listen to their prayer. YAHWEH’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.”

But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed.

Do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread of it. ¹⁵But sanctify the LORD God in your hearts, 

and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear:

Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for

“GOD opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes all around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying,

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”

Quoting the Taurat, Shaya 25:8 which says: “He has swallowed up death forever; and the Lord YAHWEH will wipe away every tear from their faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth: for YAHWEH has spoken it.”

saying:

“We give you thanks, LORD God All-Powerful, the One who is and who was; because you have taken your great power, and reigned.

They sang the song of Musa, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,

“Great and marvelous are your works, LORD God All-Powerful. Righteous and true are your ways, King of the nations. ⁴Who would not fear you, Lord, and glorify your Name? For you alone are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed.”

LORD God All-Powerful, this combination mirrors the Septuagint’s* way of translating  the Hebrew word combination, YAHWEH elohim sabaoth, into Greek. LORD in all caps represents God’s personal name YAHWEH in the Hebrew scriptures. An example of this combination is Hosea 12:5, which says: “Even YAHWEH God All-Powerful; YAHWEH is the Name by which he is to be remembered!”
*Septuagint is the name of an ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures used by early Christians.

Similar wording to Zabur 86:9 which says: “All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord. They shall glorify your Name.”

I heard the altar saying,

“Yes, LORD God All-Powerful, true and righteous are your judgments.”

After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying,

“Praise YAH! Salvation, power, and glory belong to our God:

Praise YAH! the Greek text says alleluia, which is a transliteration of the Hebrew hallelujah, which literally means praise YAH, often said praise the Lord in English. YAH is an abbreviated form of YAHWEH, the name God revealed to Prophet Musa in the Taurat, Exodus 3:15. Praise YAH is found often in the Zabur (102:18; 104:35; 105:45; 111:1; 112:1; 113:1; 115:17,18; 116:19; 135:1; 146:1; 147:1; 148:1; 149:1; 150:1) Zabur 115:17-18 says: The dead do not praise YAH, Neither any who go down into silence; But we will bless YAH, From this time forth and forevermore. Praise YAH!

A second said,

“Praise YAH! Her smoke goes up forever and ever.” 

Zabur 104:35 says: Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless YAHWEH, my soul. Praise YAH!

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying,

“Amen! Praise YAH!”

I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying,

“Praise YAH! For the LORD God All-Powerful reigns!

LORD God All-Powerful, this combination mirrors the Septuagint’s way of translating  the Hebrew word combination, YAHWEH elohim sabaoth, into Greek. LORD in all caps represents God’s personal name YAHWEH in the Hebrew scriptures. An example of this combination is Hosea 12:5, which says: “Even YAHWEH God All-Powerful; YAHWEH is the Name by which he is to be remembered!”

Zabur 116:19 says: In the courts of YAHWEH’s House, In the midst of you, Jerusalem. Praise YAH!
